Maggie Tienor, MS CF,-SLP
Hello! I’m Maggie and I’m originally from the Fox Valley area! I graduated with my master’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, running, and spending time with friends and family.
Being a speech-language pathologist means having the privilege to support and encourage individuals as they develop the skills needed to functionally communicate and interact with the world around them. In my experience, collaboration is essential to establish meaningful, consistent relationships that truly support each aspect of a child’s life. This includes working as a team with family members, teachers, and other health professionals, among other individuals that serve as integral members of a child’s life. I value creating individualized treatment and session plans that reflect each child’s unique strengths, challenges, and interests, because every child’s communication journey looks different. Through evidence-based and child-centered approaches, I strive to empower children by building their confidence and encouraging independence in communication.
In addition to my professional degree, I have received training and certification in assistive technology and accessible design, with a focus on designing materials and establishing environments that are usable by people with disabilities. My areas of interest include receptive and expressive language disorders, speech sound disorders, and augmentative and alternative devices (AAC). As a growing clinician, I am eager to continue expanding my education and researching new evidence-based practices to further develop my clinical skills to allow me to support each child as best as possible.
I am very excited to work with you and your family!
