Talia Nennig, MA-CCC, SLP
My name is Talia Nennig and I am one of the speech-language pathologists at Therapy Time for K.I.D.S. I grew up in Maplewood, Minnesota and relocated to the Fox Valley in June 2020. I graduated with my Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology and a certificate in Bilingual and Multicultural Emphasis from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in May 2020. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, reading and playing volleyball.
My areas of interest include the following: stuttering (fluency), pediatric hearing loss/aural rehabilitation, language development, multilingualism, and pragmatic/social language. I have completed numerous professional education courses across each of these areas. I am certified in Beckman Oral Motor and have PROMPT knowledge. Additionally, I have received training in The SCERTS Model and have also completed training to be a Natural Language Acquisition Practitioner.
My professional philosophy includes creating a safe and supportive environment while building rapport and connecting with children and their families to best support them along their speech and language journey. I strive to create an inclusive space for children and families from all different experiences and backgrounds. I aim to encourage self-advocacy for everyone.
My ability to speak Spanish and English allows me to assess and treat children in both languages if needed.
I look forward to having the opportunity to work with you and your child!
